Corrimal Dental is pleased to offer a new service for our patients’ comfort—IV dental sedation. An increasingly popular form of dental treatment, it offers a number of advantages over other forms of sedation, and has become the preferred choice for many patients.

The process involves delivering a combination of sedatives and pain-relieving medications through an intravenous (IV) line inserted into the patient’s arm. The medications are administered until the desired level of sedation is reached, allowing dentists to perform various dental procedures with minimal or no discomfort for the patient.

Before and After the Procedure

Before the procedure, Dr Vellani will give instructions regarding eating, drinking, and taking medications, as well as transportation and clothing. Patients should arrange for someone to pick them up afterwards, as they can’t drive for at least 12 hours after the procedure.
